I began my fitness and athletic career early in life as a wrestler and football player, which always kept me in decent shape. I went on to play collegiate rugby for the University of Rhode Island while learning more about fitness and nutrition.

OUR FITNESS TRAINERS
Originally from New York, I was a track and field athlete through middle and high school. I graduated college with a bachelor's degree in Human Ecology. After getting married in 2008, my husband and I moved out to San Diego on a whim and have been here ever since.
I believe my active life style began in the womb as my mother would always joke that I was cartwheeling before I could walk. My passion for activity and movement was ever present in my childhood and has continued into my adult life.

I want to talk about a concept called E.P.O.C, which stands for Excess Post-Oxygen Consumption. This is the concept of burning calories for long after an intense workout, also known as the "After Burn".
On the Saturday closest to Halloween the VF team likes to take our workouts and our outfits to the next level. We also like to bring in special trainers for the day and over the years we’ve been lucky enough to have such guests as Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Hercules, Captain America and Richard Simmons train our classes.

Versatile Fitness is the best combination of weights, cardio, HIIT, and above all, fun.
